multiply coefficient of x² and the constant.

here coefficient of x² = 4 and constant = -5

4*-5 = -20

Coefficient of x  = -19

so, when you multiply you have to get (-20) and when you subtract you should get -19

(-20)*1= -20

-20 + 1 = -19

4x² - 19x - 5 = 0

4x² - 20x + x - 1*5 = 0

4x(x - 5) + (x - 5) = 0

(x - 5)(4x + 1) = 0
