To Find :

The amplitude of the acceleration of piston .

Solution :

Now , acceleration is :

[tex]a=r\omega^2cos\ (\omega t-\dfrac{\pi}{4})[/tex]

Now , amplitude is maximum of any function .

So , maximum value of [tex]cos\ \theta[/tex] is equal to 1 .

Therefore , amplitude of the acceleration of piston is :

[tex]A=r\omega^2[/tex]

Hence , this is the required solution .
