we know that

Points A,B,C,and D are collinear and positioned in that order

so

AD=AB+BC+CD -----> by addition segment postulate

we have

AB=2x+30

AD=x=32

substitute the given values and solve for x

x+32 = (2x+43)

Group terms that contain the same variable

2x-x=32-43

x=-11
