You want to have the melody same throughout most of the song, the beginning should sound different to the end and the middle. You don’t a boring constant beat throughout songs, you eventually go “this sucks” so you switch up the tempo and the beat, that’s why there is a “beat drop” where the beat switches to a up tempo or low tempo type beat.
