i believe the answer is: Because such adaptations allow them to survive in their environment.

Inuits live in an extremely harsh environment, where no plants are able to grow so they should 100% rely on meat to survive (fish, seals, or bears) . Their early culture consist of things such as way of hunting, way to build their houses, etc, which help them get what they need to survive in the harsh environment.
