Answer: x = 14/3 cm

Explanation:

A(small rectangle) = 10 x 2 = 20cm^2

And A(small rectangle) is 1/4 the bigger one.

A(bigger rectangle) = 20 x 4 = 80cm^2

But A(bigger) = 12(x + 2)

=> 12(x + 2) = 80
12x + 24 = 80
12x = 56
x = 14/3
