Answer x < -6.

So to solve for x, get it down to its lowest terms we have to isolate x.

We first want to do that by getting rid of the dividing 3 over x. We can do that by multiplying 1/3 by 3, it’s reciprocal…and what we do to one side we have to do to another. So we will also multiply the -2 on the other side by 3. (Which is -6) This will cancel it out and leave us with our final answer…

x < -6
