explain how a metal chair can get too hot to sit on when it has been left out in direct sunlight

A piece of metal can feel much hotter than the surrounding air because metals and most solids are better conductors of heat than air. So, while the metal of the chair is absorbing photons from the sun, the air isn’t carrying much of that heat away.

it can get too hot because when metal comes in contact with heat it tends to get hot , and when it gets too hot and you try to sit on it , it can burn you
