Hinduism and Buddhism both shared goals of personal salvation, morality, belief in reincarnation
Hinduism: polytheistic (belief of multiple gods). Followers of Hinduism believed they must meet caste responsibilities in order achieve salvation.Buddhism - monotheistic (belief of a single god). Followers of Buddhism did not recognize the caste/jati system.
