2x^2 + x - 6 = 0
a=2, b=1, c=-6
x = -b+_ /(b^2 - 4ac) ÷ 2a
+_ (plus minus) / ( square root)
X = -1 +_ /1^2 - 4(2)(-6) ÷ 2(2)
= -1 +_ /49 ÷ 4
= -1 +_ 7 ÷ 4
= 6/4 or -8/4
= 3/2 or -2
